Dean To Address NH Dems State Convention May 17
(Concord) - Democratic National Committee Chairman Gov. Howard Dean will address the New Hampshire Democratic Party's 2008 State Convention on Saturday May 17th in Manchester, according to an announcement today by Convention co-chairs Dr. Jay Buckey and former State Representative Jackie Weatherspoon.
"Chairman Dean will be a dynamic addition to what promises to be an exciting and monumental day for Democrats across the Granite State, as we gear up to bring the change that our country needs," said Jackie Weatherspoon, convention co-chair. "Democrats will come away from the Convention with the knowledge and tools to re-elect Governor Lynch and all our great Democrats in the State House, send Jeanne Shaheen to the US Senate, re-elect Carol Shea-Porter and Paul Hodes, and elect a Democratic President in November."
Chairman Dean will join Gov. Lynch, former Gov. Jeanne Shaheen, Reps. Carol Shea-Porter and Paul Hodes, Senate President Sylvia Larsen, House Speaker Terie Norelli, and Democrats from across New Hampshire at this year's state convention at McLaughlin Middle School.
"Howard Dean has led the way in exposing the failed policies of the Bush administration, and he is now leading the way in exposing John McCain's plans to give our country more of the same," said Ray Buckley, Chair of the New Hampshire Democratic Party. "From Iraq to the economy, our state desperately wants a change from these failed Bush-McCain policies, and Governor Dean's visit will ensure that everyone attending the convention will leave with the tools they need to prevent a 3rd Bush term."
